Let us DESIGN your next Airbnb.
Often Airbnb interior design is looked at as an expense and not an investment. An Airbnb listing with professional interior design will do better 100% of the time when compared to a non-interior design Airbnb listing, given all else is equal. This translates to both higher occupancy and rates.
"Professional interior design for your Airbnb is an INVESTMENT, not a cost. You WILL earn more with a professionally designed Airbnb."
When traveling, there is something alluring about staying in a beautiful, convenient Airbnb, versus the average run of the mill hotel. It is a more personalized experience with a greater connection to the local neighborhood.
But in my professional opinion, this is true only if the interior design is on point!
The cognizant, interior-design minded Airbnb host is subconsciously communicating with the future potential guests. If the host can make their Airbnb listing look this good online, they must know how to be a proper, hospitable Airbnb host when I stay there.
Thus, you already have an advantage over the other listings your future potential guest is deciding between. As a guest, you want the space where you are staying to be clean, stylish and cozy.
Excluding the budget traveler who’s only criteria is price, no one wants to stay in someone else’s old neglected guest house. Let’s face it, in this case, appearances do make a difference.
That being said, investing just a little bit in decor and professional photos can go a very long way in the payout department. It is very similar to staging a home and having professional photos for the listing to attract potential buyers.
Almost every potential buyer will gravitate towards the professional photo when searching online, and it is pretty much proven that using a professional home stager with clean and updated decor will win at a higher closing price.
As it relates to Airbnb, spending extra on an Airbnb interior designer should be viewed as an investment as it will increase your nightly rate. As a designer, I often find myself swooning over spaces on Pinterest, and then realizing that they are Airbnb properties! (Clearly, I need a vacation.)
These two London flats are priced very, very similarly. The top picture starts renting at only $37 more per night than the bottom. So, who is going to get the business? Ignoring the fact the second photo could use some Airbnb photo tips, it is a total no-brainerr.
What is the moral of the story here? Invest in the professional residential Airbnb interior designer and photographer, and you will not be sorry.
You will be optimizing your Airbnb all the way to the bank!
